In May of current year, China had produced 3.261 million t of welded pipe, increasing by 8.27% year over year. And its average daily output totaled 0.1052 million metric tons during the month in question, surging by 17.57% month over month. On the other hand, in terms of the pipe imports and exports, China's welded pipe exports had amounted to 0.2734 million metric tons in May, dropping by 8.07% month over month while rising by 5.13% as compared to the corresponding period of last year. Meanwhile, China also had imported 19800 metric tons of welded pipe in May, down 10.89% month on month and up 11.79% year over year.
In May, China's rebar production swelled by 10.21% year on year and totaled 12.853 million metric tons. Meanwhile, China's average daily rebar production had amounted to 0.4146 million metric tons, up 4.5% year on year. In addition, China's wire rod output stood at 10.215 million metric tons in May and its average daily production came to 0.3295 million metric tons, increasing by 9.21% year over year and by 0.83% month over month respectively.
